Tasks:
- Central office as steering body for all sustainability issues for organizational units reporting to the COO
- Designing and implementing a sustainability strategy for organizational units reporting to the COO
- Management of global sustainability projects
- Managing employees (e.g. regional sustainability officers and sustainability officers at the plants)
- Creation, definition and optimization of internal cross-segment standards and processes within own area of expertise
- Observing/identifying trends in the specialist area in order to develop concepts and recommendations for action
- Develop key performance indicators to manage sustainability performance
- Create and design a sustainability report
- Create, ensure compliance with assigned project budgets; initiate action in case of deviations
- Create, ensure compliance with assigned project metrics/targets
- Lead and/or participate in the optimization/development of processes, systems, and methods (e.g., conduct lessons learned reviews, etc.)
- Create publications and present as appropriate
- Act as internal and external contact person for questions regarding Sustainability in Operations
- Identify general training needs within own area of expertise
- Governance; planning and conducting internal and external training on complex topics
Profile
- Master's degree in Economics (or equivalent), or bachelor's degree with work experience
- professional experience in sustainability projects
- Well-structured way of working
- Very good analytical and problem solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, PowerPoint and especially Power BI and Excel) and high affinity for IT systems
- Good communication skills for secure communication with internal stakeholders from different locations
- Full professional proficiency in English and German
