As a science brand, we are best known for our distinctive animated videos and our elaborate products around the kurzgesagt theme worlds. Through our globally successful YouTube channel with over 20 million subscribers, we aim to inspire people around the world about science and make knowledge accessible and exciting. Our international team currently consists of about 66 great colleagues. We are looking for creative individuals who are passionate about science, storytelling, and visual communication. Motion Designer (all genders)
Location: Munich, Berlin or Remote
This is what you'll be doing
- Creating animated sequences for our YouTube and other Social Media channels
- Implementing and understanding the “Kurzgesagt” style
- Close cooperation with illustrators, motion designers and project managers
This is what you bring to the table
- Degree in communication design/animation (or similar course of study) or lateral applicant with a comprehensible track record, even without a degree
- Strong knowledge of the Animation Principles and Workflow
- Good technical knowledge of animating in Adobe After Effects
- Basic knowledge of 3D Software is a plus
- Passion for science topics
- Flexibility, empathy and creative problem solving abilities
- Conceptual and abstract way of thinking
- Excellent written and spoken English skills, good German skills are a nice to have
