We are looking for a passionate Global Localization Manager, who will play a key role in shaping the global voice of SumUp. You will work closely with localization vendors and cross-functional teams (Marketing, Product, Content, Brand/UX Design, etc.) on different projects. You will guide the teams on localizability and localization best practices, work on different aspects of localization operations and help us reach our localization OKRs.
This role sits within SumUp's Global Marketing Team and reports to the Global Localization Lead. We are a cross-functional group working in the fields of Localization, Content, SEO, Brand, Creatives, PR, and Social Media. Together, we devise innovative strategies to ship and market SumUp's products, grow the brand, attract new customers, and keep existing merchants excited about our products.

What you'll do- Manage the localization process of content and design assets to enable go-to-market and growth initiatives, product development and customer care operations and Legal requirements, using our translation management system, and implement/update all content across channels.
- Build, align and streamline processes, drive the optimisation of workflows by introducing automation and facilitating agile project management approaches.
- Build translation roadmaps for entire business units, plan and monitor deadlines, and track execution
- Drive projects in cross-functional teams independently, create and optimize documentation to reduce knowledge dependencies, and consult teams on localization best practices/processes.
- Perform and evolve quality assurance measures to ensure high-quality deliverables.
You'll be great for this role if
- You have at least 4 to 6 years of experience, ideally in an in-house localization team, bring knowledge of the localization industry standard, and have a record of managing localization projects (various types of content assets).
- You've previously worked with translation management systems and CAT tools; experience in working with Smartling is a plus.
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment when dealing with cross-functional teams.
- You're a problem-solver, work independently by taking the lead on new initiatives and know how to prioritize in an agile environment.
- You pay great attention to details, have a strong linguistic and cultural sensibility.
- You're fluent in English, both spoken and written – knowledge of additional European languages is a plus.
